The terms

  1. The come-out roll: it is the first roll of the dice.
  2. Shooter: the player who rolls the dice.

Take two dice and roll them on the table or press the roll button in case you are playing online. Once the dice are rolled, there are three possible outcomes:

  1. Natural: it is said so when the dice rolled shows either 7 or 11. This has proven to be a win-win situation for the contestant and you get a chance to roll again. But if in case 7 doesn’t prove to be lucky for you, you’ll end up losing the entire battle.
  2. Craps or Snake eyes: here, a player rolls for 2, 3, or 12 and most of the time losses.
  3. Point: player roll a 4, 5,6,8,9, or 10. The dealer in the live casino will mark the point you select while in an online casino, a small, white button saying ‘On’ will appear once you select a point. After this, you need to roll the dice once again, and if the same sum appears on the dice irrespective of the same combination of numbers, you’ll win.

Playing Craps

  1. Pass line: Pass line bet implies that you will bet that the player will win by rolling a natural or by the point before seven-ing out.
  2. Don’t Pass line: in this, you bet the player will lose. The only two possibilities being the player rolls for 2 or 3, or fails to roll the point before 7 shows up on the dice.
  3. Push: it is a neutral phase wherein you neither lose nor win. This happens when you roll for 12.
  4. Come Line: your bet wins when a rolling for a natural and loses if done for craps. Similar to Pass Line
  5. Don’t Come Line: Similar to Don’t Pass Line. You win if the shooter shoots for 2 or 3, and unlucky if it turns out to be either 7 or 11.

Come Line and Don’t Come Line can only be made if the point is determined

  1. Place Bets:  once the point is determined, the player can bet on any number on the table. The player wins if it is rolled out before 7, otherwise it’s another way round.
  2. Field Bets: active only for the single dice roll. You win if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 can be seen. You lose if a 5, 6, 7, or 8 appears.
  3. Big 6 & Big 8 bets: it is if you think and bet for 6 or 8 coming before 7.
